Disclaimer

It is felt that a word of caution is necessary before venturing further into the Bhagavad-Gita, the spoken words of the Lord (Bhagavan uvacha). The Gitopadesha presented here needs a brief clarification before we proceed with the discussion on various aspects of bhakti, vairagya, mukti, etc. The qualification Arjuna had to get the vision of the Lord is not something that we can even dream of or wish to possess here (indulging in worldly mundane sensuousness). Actually, Arjuna was a King and had conducted Rajasuya yaga where the Lord Krishna Himself invited guests and washed their feet and offered precious gifts when they left! Later on, we know the story how the entire kingdom was  lost in the gambling- play of dice. The Pandavas had to wander in forests and remain incognito for 13 long years. They underwent all sorts of difficulties being Gods! As already stated, the Gods do possess manas, buddhi, ahankar, although sthula shareera is not there. Thus, the requisite qualification foe spiritual seeker is- jnyan, viveka, and vairagya before one can turn to the Gita.
When i compared a dozen Books written by famous authors and publishers including those of ISKON, Ramakrishna Asram. Advaita Ashram, Yogada Institute, Satya Sai Foundation, Arnold's and the Russian Swami Antonov, Bal Gangadhar Ttilak, etc. i find a number of diversions from the main text. Many of these authors forget the fact that "there is neither a Krishna nor the Pandavas here and the kuru kshetra is our own body". since this is a dictation given by the Lord Krishna seated in our own Lotus Heart and the Muladhar Deity Ganapti writing it with his broken tusk on the Tablet of our Heart!
