Sri Ramachandra and Bhagavan Sri Krishna

There are eighteen epics that give us innumerable characters depicting different attitudes and behavior according to circumstances. These are not to be taken as real human beings in flesh and blood. In fact, William Shakespeare has created more characters than what even the Creator Chaturmukha Brahma could even imagine, The nature, reality, of existence on the ground and the characters in a novel or drama make lots of difference. The poet imagines what even the Sun can see in His own Light! There is an adage to this effect.
Now, as regards Sri Ramachandra, Prince of Ayodhya, depicted as the blessed son of King who spent much of his life in worldly trouble and turmoils as characterized in the famous epic is entirely different from Bhagavan Sri Krishna depicted in the Bhagavad-Gita, Bhagavata purana, or the Mahabharata. Sri Ram  of treta yug stands in contrast to Sri Krishna of dvaparayug. In Kaliyug, of course, we have the Buddha, a contemporary of Mahaveera, bot attained persons, in a sense. Thus we have several role models for us. However, Bhagavan Sri Krishna stands unique here. He stands as a friend, philosopher, guide and a redeemer, too.
The famous lines in the Gita says, "I shall return to restore the Veda, dharma whenever people destroy it"! See the two verses that read as: yada yada hi dharmasya glanirbhavati bharata abhyutthanam adharmasya tadaatmaanam srujamyaham || paritranaya sadhunam vinasaya ca dushkritam dharma samsthapanarthaya sambhavami yuge yuge || BG 4.7-8].
If Bhagavan Shree Krishna says, I shall appear again and again, and has already appeared 25 times (avatars) how many Rams, Krishnas, Buddhas and Mahaviras should be there? At least 7 for each of the seven yugas that have gone by, isn't it? Prof. S.N. Das Gupta traces at least 7 or 8 Shankaras. There is mention of Vrushbha, the first Tirthankara in the Rk Veda. So let us get these things right!
There is a very interesting work in "The Sphinx Speaks", by Sardar Jvalaa Singh, Delhi 1956. The passages taken from Rk Veda are quoted here and a Map of India showing the Kingdoms ruled by Shiva in Kailasa, Brahma in Brahma Desha/ China, Vishnu in Trivishtap (Tibet), Hiranyaksha and Hiranyakashipu with Sage Kashyapa near the Caspian Sea in the region of present day S. Russia and Ravana in Lanka and Kubera in Meru parvat. This Map of India is dated back to 500 000 years when the Himalayas were just rising above the region of Sea of Tethys (tetya sagara) the remnant of which is the Mediterranean Sea. The Regions was almost 3000 Metres to 4000 M. above Mean Sea Level. (like the present day Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Anantnag, Srinagar in Kashmir. Hence, there is no wonder our legendary figures were real Kings and for the citizens the Kings were Gods! This is in contrast to the recent Ayodhya King Dashrath and his son Ram, Lakshman, Bharat and Shatrughna. The Sages were teachers like Vashishtha and Vishvamitra that sounds a little mythic!
Hence, we must be very careful in reading the ancient history, epics and mythology o the Veda and the Upanishads. All these are to  be studied with a pinch of salt.
Now, to be very clear as to the sambhavami yuge yuge, the following will make this clear. We are living now in the irst quarter of the Kaliyuga, the fourth and the last quarter of the Vaivasvata Manvantara. Each Manvantara lasts 432 000 000 years and the Kaliyug lasts for 432000 years. The dvapa is double the kali and treta is three times that of the laki and the first Krutayug is four times that of kali yug. But, what is a yuga of a Million Years is open to question since the length of the year increases with the increase in the mean velocity of te rotation of the Earth! One year 1n 2016 may not be of the same length of time even in 1st Century A.D or 10 000 B.C.! The earth was rotating faster in the beginning a hundred  million years ago when compared to a million years ago. The first manvantara is that of Vivasvan, the Sun with King Uttanapada whose son Dhruva prayed Lord narayana and became a Star (the Pole Star!). Whatever happened at the beginning of the Earth's history is there hidden in the fossils, the sandstone layers and the Himalayan rocks and always there for the students to study.
Sri Krishna is depicted differently in different literature such as Bhagavata and the Mahabharata and entirely different from that of Bhagavan in the Gita. Sri Krishna is revealing the secret of creation and the ways and means to overcome the problems of life and the ultimate goal of life. The Gita is a secret document having terse verses giving the reality of existence. The Lord says that He Himself is a non-entity, a non-being, a formless aspect of the universe that can be better explained in the scientific terminology of quantum mechanics and particle physics as fermion and boson, not even a neutri, electrom or a proton! Everything is thus a transformation of one non-existent into a manifest form that reverts into its original form as stated in the second law of thermodynamics.
Thus,  the entire creation is an illusion! Sri Shankaracharya of Keladi, or that Adi Shankara, or a Shankara who wrote Soundarya Lahari and went to Kailas to show it to Lord Shiva, or a Shiva whoever it is, is a matter left to one's understanding.  Ultimately like demonetization, everything ends in a delsusion for illusion of illusion is delusion.
Ultimately, the Gita reveals the true nature of our existence. Even a person like Rama who had instructions unde teachers like Vashishtha and Vishvamitra and had 'atmabodha', ran behind a Golden Deer little bothering to know a demon like Marichi cxould take the form of a Golden Deer and cheat lakshman. For sheer of love of his brother and wife Ram got into trouble! But. Sri Krishna remained unperturbed in the goings on in the Battlefield of Hastinapura (symbolism narrating the worldly life ofpeople in the world) and stood apart as a witness, 'sakshin', to guid the willing and the surrendering devotees. He ultimately, pardoned and released from bondage whom he liked at the end!
