Guru comes to You

It is no exaggeration and a fact that Gur comes to you when your innermost desire is to seek salvation. Salvation is not desired by one and all since the jiva has taken an embodied journey in order to enjoy the qualities of the earth The earth is a banquet hall and the supreme Lord has thrown a banquet to jivas to enjoy it. No jiva, whether a bird, insect,,animal or man want to die and every jiva has come to enjoy )its karma phala) here. We have seen patients lying in the ICU and the CCU not leaving the body despite its inability to function. What is it that binds the soul to thee body? Is the soul so subservient to body? What is it that makes struggling for life when it is difficult to a breath! it is all mysterious. The jiva is a physical entity in which the soul is embedded. It is this embedded soul that clings to the body even though it knows full well that it is foolishness. The soul is a pure and pristine fire particle (angiras), a star dust, a photon. It is blemishless; but it is embedded in mire, earthly existence. It has entered the soil as food (annam), air as vital force (prana), and built a solid physical body and survives on food for its survival. The most surprising part of the story of this jiva is that it can survive without food or water only for a week or two. The body becomes weak, unable to move, but will not die! Why the prana clings on to the weak and dilapidated body? The answer is avidya, ignorance, or true knowledge covered by attachment, ego and the acquired gunas. Once the jiva realizes that it is nothing but Light, Intelligence (knowledge), Force (motive power inherent) and Energy (Pure and inexhaustible) and just has acquired a physical body, the prana (LIFE FORCE) leaves! So what binds the jiva to prana is ignorance of its true nature. This is explained in pratyabhijnya hridayam of Kashmir Shaivism. When the jiva desires to revert to its true nature it thinks of God and God sends a Guru. Thus Guru comes to lift you up from the mire, earthly existence just like the wireman comes to give connection to you newly built house and there comes the Light!
The author had a divine providence and got one in Swami Yogananda who made the author a Chaitanyananda, relieving him from the drudgery of materialistic world! [See Photo below].More in next.
