  trayinyas- the 3-fold path of yanta, mantra and tantra

  INTRODUCTION

     In answer to the many a queries about Srividya, we are embarking on a hitherto untold story of creation, albeit in brief, and try to reveal the secrets of srushti (creation) and the ultimate reality of this universe in these columns. This entire body of knowledge is highly esoteric in nature and involves images, symbols and formulae. The three-fold path of this inquiry takes us to geometry in Sri chakra, mudras and diagrams of yantras, the sacred syllables and words called, mantra, and the occult practices of psychosomatic nature. However, we will not touch on issues that are avaidic or not approved by the Veda here.

   In the first place, we have come to the planet earth riding the sun rays as a particle of light (photon) from a distant star. Our horoscopes show the Lagna kundali where the particular star (say, punarvasu) that is found in the zodaic (Rashi) of Karkataka. [See Reader's Digest Atlas or NASA Atlas]. The Bhagavad-Gita explicitly states: parjanyat bhavati annani, annat bhavati bhutani. So we are all elements (bhuta) inhabiting the earth taking some shape and form ranging from plants animals birds, man in physical bodies (panchabhuta). Rather, we  have entered the mustard-sized earth that is fast moving in space, rotating on its axis and revolving about the sun, of the size of a foot ball in the small solar system! There are giants and dwarfs amongst stars, too.

  As soon as the light particle full of energy derived from the distant star reached the earth and came into contact withe water, soil and heat, the inherent energy forming the nucleus developed the life form of algae, mosses and lichens, fish, frog, reptiles, birds, mammals and man under different ecological condutions in different ecosystems. Thus we are all nothing but energy condensatesd, vibrating in different manifestations, forms and functions. Other than this there is nothing! The elemental body withers off as soon as the core of the substance, the atman, rather the solar battery, leaves the elemental body made of soil/food.  there are four types of life- plants that come from seeds, roots, or cuttings of the previously existing ones, or birds and animals from eggs, or just fertilized eggs in mother's womb. The spermatozoa that entered the mothers womb and developed as a fertilised egg takes the form and shape of its parents. The mother gives shelter and food and the father gives the basic structure. The so-called parents- mother and father are nothing but the designations they get due to the birth of the off-spring. But for the birth, there is no designation as such. Thus, it is said the child is the father of man! If I am not born where is the question of my father or mother (Am i not creating my parents and other designations of uncles, aunts, etc?). The funniest part of the story is that my father or mother never know how and when i take birth in their family! Thus, it is my wish that i come here and create my world!! But, when i am just a particle of energy in a nutshell, an organic cell of amino acids, vitamins, enzymes, DNA and RNA, chromosomes and genes in a protein covered fertilized egg where is my entity as so and so.! Neither i have an ID as so and so- name, form and function, nor do i know the name of my family- caste, creed, religion or a country by name India, USA, Canada or Australia, etc. Who am I?

  Who am I? Who am i when i am lying helpless as a child of 3 months? Who am I when i am in deep sleep? or, for that matter who am i when i am knocked down and lie unconscious on the road and lose all my memory.  These are wonderful questions that i only shoul answer since it concerns me only; no one can answer for me. If a take to yoga and reach the turiya state, samadhi state i can know all these things. This is what SriVidya reveals to us when we chant the mantra of the Devi and go into trance.
