Life in Srividya

People have been worshiping the Sun God all over the world since very early times. There are also some sections of the people who worship Moon as their God. Moon is a part of the Earth, its Satellite. Both the Sun and the Moon occupy the central place in this study as “Srividya”.
All these scientific details are provided here as a background study since these are simply referred to as ‘Shiva’, symbolically here. Later on, in course of this study we find the sunrays, the mayukhas (+ve and –ve electric charges referred to as Male (Yam) and Female (Yim) creative energy and forces- Shiva-Shakti. The terms used in Samskrutam here for Shiva and Shakti are many such as- sUrya, sUrye, sUryA, Aditya, BAnu, prakaSa, viShNu, Siva, Sive, SivA, rudra, iMdra, sOma etc. All that create, produce, or ‘that appear or come before’, ‘that which comes out of’, or that appears ‘one after the other’ are called (in relational terms) as father, mother, son or daughter, brother and sister, etc. For example, we have yam and yim that are called siblings, son and daughter of Sun, i.e., sunrays (with +ve and –ve energy wavicles that some scientists disapprove?). The Rk Veda (Mandala X Sukta 85) gives more details. Yam and Yim are said to be Light and Darkness, respectively. Yam is also called Kala (Time) and Time is calculated with Sun as its reference point, in terms of earth’s rotation and revolution around the Sun; the days and year are called ‘sidereal’ day and ‘solar’ year, respectively. So also, the Moon is the point of reference for Lunar month of two- the dark and bright fortnights (paksha mAsa). This entire Soundaryalahari is devoted to praise of the Devi as Nitya (Eternal), Chandrakala, (as dictated by the phases of the Moon). The Nityas are the lunar days and nights- paDya (pratipat) to pOrNimA (Full Moon) or the amAvAsya (New Moon), with the sixteenth day as Maha Tripurasundari.
The sixteen Nityas (names of Shukla paksha nights) are:
mahAtripurasuMdarI, kAmESvarI, BagamAlinI, nityakilinnA, BEruMDA, vahnivAsinI, mahAvidyESvarI, roudrI, tvaritA, kulasuMdarI, nIlapatAkA, vijayA, sarvamaMgalA, jvAlA, mAlinI, cidrupa. These nityas also appear as the sixteen sounds (vowels) full of potency. These secrets should not be revealed to the unqualified. It is also said that one should know the names of the days and nights of these Lunar and Solar days and nights.
The names of Krishna paksha nights (dark fortnight) are:
sutA sunvatI prastutA sUyamAnA aBiShUyamANA |
  pItI prapA saMpA tRuptistarpayaMtI |
  kAMtA kAmyA kAmajAtA AyuShmatI kAmaduGA

[These are merged in the AdhAra cakra (the Sun’s glare) and SamayIs do not worship on these nights. Moreover, Kundalini is activated only in Shukla paksha nights]
The names of days of Shukla paksha (bright fortnight) culminating in Poornima are:
SamjnyAnam, vijnyAnam, prajnyAnam, JAnabhijAnat, samkalpa- mAnam, prakalpamAnam upakalpamAnam upakluptam, kluptam |
ShrEyovaSiya ayat saMBUtam BUtam || (Tai. Br. 3. 10.1)
Names of days ofKrishna  pakasha (dark fortnight) culminating in Amavasya-

  SukramamRutaM tEjasvi tEjassmiddham |
  aruNam BAnumanmarIcimadaBitapattapasvat ||(Tai. Br. 3.10.1)
A person who knows all the above names of days and nights will get all his desires fulfilled and enjoys supreme bliss.

Actually, we should not treat ‘Mother’, or ‘her children’ as something of the human species here. In the beginning all that appeared are stars only. Go Lok; galaxy is the star-clustered region- sudha sindhu (ocean of Consciousness, ‘cit’, Light). It is compared to the snow-covered Himalayas shining like milky sea under the sunlight. Our Galaxy is called the ‘Milky Way’ (‘Ksheer path’). Even the Stars here derive their Light from an unmanifest source called Aditya, Narayana, or Para Brahman. Aditya is the primordial, the self-effulgent, omnipotent, omnipresent Light, Energy, and Force. Aditya is called Shivam (‘cit’) here. He, the ‘Father in Heaven’ (the Sun/Shiva) and She, the Mother, (Earth/Shakti) are really the most important Gods for us here; this Earth is the abode of men, rather it is the home of all living creatures, all animate or inanimate, organic or inorganic things. For all practices, the Sun (‘cit’/ ‘citi’) is called ‘Srividya’, the abode of ‘Pure Consciousness’ shuddhi vidya, here. All the Gods and Goddesses are stellar matter, particles of Light, Energy, Intelligence, and Forces that are found in the ‘parame vyoman’, the Bhuvah or the Sky (ether/Akasha); these are in the form of hazy clouds, ice crystals, water vapor, electricity and energy particles (photons), lightning, sound and such other subtler invisible forms. These are also found in a vibrating mind as thoughts, ideas and images!  It is just vibration. Thus, everything is vibration of energy!
Moreover, as mortals, we the upasaka or spiritual seekers are living and working on earth at a lower, individual consciousness at basal plexus, muladhara level. We subsist on food, barely meeting the requirements of the physical body, repeatedly feeding it as and when energy depletes, and we engage in sensual life. We are unaware of our higher self, our true nature, and think that our body, mind and senses, ego are the most important to be attended to; accordingly, we get engaged- dancing to the tunes of the senses, mind, buddhi and Aham-kara, albeit, we are grown up and know the consequences of such a sensuous life. But, we are still like grown-up children and do not have maturity enough; our consciousness level is very, very low, almost nothing; we are unable to rise above this basic ground level of c raving for insentient things to satisfy our insatiable desires. We cannot think of higher things. Our interest is in the material world and, besides indulging in the cravings of the Senses we are fighting a survival battle with poverty, insecurity, old age, sickness, and fear of death.
Now, under these circumstances, it is extremely difficult for us to take to upasana with a focused mind, citta-shuddhi and control over senses. Nevertheless, we are firm in our resolve to seek the divine intervention and we want the Devi to help us. We have full faith in our Divine Mother and believe that ‘She’ will redeem us. We firmly believe that our Mother Amba is kind, benevolent and sakala abhIshTa pradAyanI.
Moreover, all the thinking we are doing here is by our own Mind and thoughts (manas and citta), Intelligence (buddhi), and limited individualized Consciousness; it is our mano-vrutti, chancjhala chitta or ‘citta vikalpa’ i.e., vibrating mind- full of thoughts, dreams, desires, images and aspirations, memories, whims and fancy- nothing else! Furthermore, we, the mortals, martanda, are confined here only to the realm of ‘Bhu’ (the earth) and cannot ever think of other higher realms or levels such as Bhuvah and Svar Lokas, whereas ‘SrIvidyA’ speaks of several realms, nava avaranas- nine environs, where the gods and goddesses (deities), varshinis, yoginis, nityas, dik-palakas, etc. dwell. As already stated, these divine beings are found in the form of Light, Energy, Sound, Intelligence, and Elemental Forces. However, it is possible to transcend these realms (vyahrutis) in our yogic trance, transcendental state of meditation and gain first-hand knowledge of everything in Samadhi. Our Atma is well equipped with all this knowledge. Atma knows all; atmayaivedgm sarvam | is the Vedic doctrine. Hence, instead of looking to others for guidance, searching outside for our knowledge, we can as well look inward to gain all this knowledge and experience. Our aim here is to know these nine realms, the nava avaranas, as expounded in SrIvidyA and realize our goal through Chakropasana in antaryaga.

The Universe in Srividya

Our universe thus consists of minute, almost insignificant particles of dust in the entire system of multiverses (several millions of universes) consisting of hundreds and thousands of galaxies, and such other stellar systems. What we call our Brahmanda here is restricted to only three realms of Bhu (earth), Bhuvah (sky), and the Svar (heaven where the Sun shines). There are many other Brahmandas, too, of which we are not concerned here. We, the mortals, are merely concerned about our state of existence on this earth and its true nature. Some of us may go a little forward to think about our future, our fate here, in this transient world. Thus, it is all about our transient nature of existence and SrIvidyA makes these aspects very clear.
It is said that only a svayambhuva Manu, Vivasvan (Sun)- the self-effulgent one, comes at the beginning of every Manvantara and he is followed by Sapta Rishis, Devatas, Yakshas, Gandharvas and Kinnaras, Sadhyas and Siddhi Purushas, etc. The First Manu ‘Vivasvan’, the Sun is a small Star in our galaxy, Milky Way (‘ksheer path’). We are now in the Seventh  Manvantra called ‘Vaivasvata’ and this ‘Vaivasvata manu’ is the same as Vivasvan, the Sun!
Thus, it must be inferred that every one of our manvantara starts with a manu- a Star, Sapta Rishi mandala, Devi devatas, and a host of yakshas, gandharvas, kinnaras, etc. and, interestingly, these are also stars! Stars are born every now and then, and they die out, too. There are 14 such Manus described in Vishnu Purana and we are in the Seventh Vaivasvata Manu’s Chaturyuga parva- prathama charana of the fourth, Kaliyuga. The six Manvantaras that have already passed are that of Manus called: 1. Vivasvan, 2. Svarochish, 3. Uttam (Grandson of Svayambhuva Manu), 4. Tamas, 5. Rewat, 6. Chakchus, and the 7. Vaivasvata. Seven more manus- Savarni and four of his sons (so called because they follow from the previous)- Savarnas, also sons of the Sun (Vivasvan), and Rouchya and Boudhya are to come!
Thus, all the svayambhuva (first-born or self-effulgent) Manus are the self effulgent Stars only and called the off-springs of the first Manu Vivasvan. Along with the Star (Manu) come the seven Rishis (Saptarshis), the Devatas like Indra and other elemental gods (who are also stars). So, one has to be very careful in understanding the different levels of existence and the Vyahrutis (Realms or Lokas) where these Rishis and gods are found.
The Bhagavata has several Chapters describing these aspects of creation and dissolution as well as methods of knowing them. The whole universe is like an inverted tree, the Ashvatha, whose roots reach out to the Heavens absorbing the elixir, nectar of life and the same bear fruits at the bottom where the Jivas enjoy as their karma phala (fruits of action). The Branches are the Veda and the Leaves are the Rks (mantra); Man is at the centre endowed with all the potential to reach to higher and higher levels of- Pitrus, Devatas, Yakshas, Gandharvas, Rishis, Maharishi, Devarshi, Brahmarshi and finally the Brahman, as also one may go down the scale and become lowliest of the low creatures like the insects and worms by his action!
However, each and every creature at all levels have an option to engage in realization of the Self and engage in self-less service and thereby attain to the highest in the scale! This concept has been beautifully portrayed here in the cosmogram of Sri Chakra. Sri Chakra upasaka may reach the desired level by Yantra Puja or mantropasane and Sri Chakra upasana (in samhara krama or srushti krama).
One should always remember that the inverted tree of Ashvatha is the handiwork of Devi Tripurasundari. “This illusory tree Ashvatha has to be cut by the axe of jnyana” and this is possible by spiritual practices like yoga abhyasa or Shree DevI upasana. The kind and benevolent Devi who is the Creatrix is also the redeemer of Jivas and will save us from repeated births and deaths in this Mrutyu Loka.
Thus, in this history of creation, the first svayambhuva Manu is Vivasvan, the self-effulgent Star. This Vivasvan only appears repeatedly again and again fourteen times as Svayambhuva Manus by different names like Svarocisha, Uttama, Tamas, Revat, Cakhsus, Vaivasvat, Savarnis, Rouchya and Boudhya. At the beginning of every manvantara, the svayambhuva Manu, the Sun, is accompanied by Saptarshis, Indra, Rudra, Varuna and other Gods, Devatas, RuShi gaNas, Gandharvas, Kinnaras, Yakshas, Daityas and the human beings every time each manvantara by different names!). in fact, the soul of all these different entities at different levels are not many but one only. One Soul only is reflected in innumerable levels of existence. Any human can reach to any level up to the state of Brahman by sheer Yoga sadhana (spiritual practice). Here, the Devi’s grace is enough!
Thus, it is needless to state that all that we find here is just a transient world (mithya prapanca) of names, forms and functions; these creatures exist at different levels or ladders of evolutionary scale of this mysterious universe. It is the lila, a play of creation (srushti) and dissolution (laya), evolution and involution, at the whim and fancy of the Supreme Lord, Creatrix Tripurasundari.
Evolution is the handiwork of a mischievous Mind. The Sapta RuShi(s) are created by the Mind (manas) by the power of concentration contemplation, meditation or ‘tapah-shakti’. Hence everything found as Jivas in the evolutionary scale are just the power of creation of Mind (citta shakti). It is often stated that a human being only is raised to the state or status of a star (e.g. Dhruva, son of King Uttanapada) by the grace of Shree Hari Narayana. But, who is Shree Hari Narayana?
Shree Hari Narayana means the Eternal Flow of Consciousness. It is full of potency to create. The word ‘Shree’ means rich and resourceful, facilities of material (pancha mahabhuta(s) as resources provided by Nature (Prakruti); ‘Hari’ means the flow (of Consciousness) and ‘Narayana’ means the journey (yana) of man (nara); it is just a vibration of Consciousness. Consciousness pervades the universe as waves; it is akin to flow of water like the River Ganga or any other for that matter that supports life and promotes journey of man on this earth.
Man only becomes a God-head! The term ‘Man’ need not be construed always as an embodied entity like ours  and, in fact, this embodiment is a process, karma; its true nature (svaroopa) is sat-cit-ananda only. Man is nothing but Mind, Energy, Light, Force, Intelligence, cit or Consciousness both before embodiment in an earthen shell and after discarding it (the Pancamahabhuta sharira) after death; it is an eternal soul, Atma. Indeed, it is just a reflection (pratibimba) of the supreme Soul, Paramatman. In other words, a star is born and a number of planets and satellites (like Mercury, Earth, Venus, Mars, Saturn, etc.) are also created and, may be, one or two of the planets may support life (as in the case of ours).
Each Manvantara is headed by a self-effulgent body, a Star, and its planets- formed out of the same stellar material by cooling and condensation. The Time taken for this process is estimated to be hundreds of millions of years. This Vaivasvata Manvantara in which we are living as humans along with plants, birds, aquatic amphibian, reptilian and mammalian species lasts for 4.32 million Years of which only 430 000 Years are still remaining! But, we do not know what this ‘Year’ is, and whether it is solar, lunar, human, divine (of Gods), or astronomical like Light Years! Of what use and consequence is the time? Thus, it makes a very confusing study, a cumbersome affair to recapitulate the events of bygone eons.
Thus, it is understood here that each Chaturyuga parva consisting of a Krita yuga, Treta yuga, Dvapara yuga and a Kali yuga is said to run for about 432 Million years; 28th Kaliyuga (that lasts for 4.32 M.Y) has just started, very recently, say about 3500 years ago after the end of Dvapara Yuga (at the end of Mahabharata war). It is said that seven more Chaturyuga parvas are yet to come and go before total dissolution of the universe. The Puranas proclaim that one Brahma’s day is one thousand such yugas and he goes to sleep as the night falls (Vishnu Purana). What is evolution becomes an involution at this point of timeless state. Everything appears to evolve out of the unmanifest Brahman only to merge in him again. This process of evolution and involution is a continuous process and it takes place within the human Mind and nowhere else! This existence is Consciousness. This is the reason why the Veda proclaims strongly, “aham brahmn asmi”, “ayam AtmA brahmA”, “AtmaievEdgm sarvam”, and finally, “tat tvam asi”.
This, in brief, is the story of creation that every child should know having born on this earth. It is also important to know that Sun (the Star shining in the sky) is our Father (who gives life) and Earth is our Mother (who gives food and shelter) - of all living creatures, in the broad sense of the terms. Jagatah pitarou vande Parvati Parameshvarou | Parvati and Parameshvara, Shakti (vimarsha) and Shiva (prakasha), or the Purusha and Prakruti, or Man and his prowess create this world in all its variety. There is no other cause, other than the fission and fusion, cittavrutti, spanda, vibration for creation. Brahmanda consists of the Earth, the sky, and the Sun (Bhu-Bhuvah-Svar) and it is ‘cit’. the ‘sat’ is beyond this.
Since our self-created (svayambhu) Manu Vaivasvata is the son of Vivasvan, the Sun, we are all born of stellar material, solar dust, or Angirases (sparks of Fire). Rk Veda confirms this. We have a ‘Father in Heaven’, svar (the Sun): strangely enough, there is no mention of any feminine (Mother) figure here and we presume the Earth is our Mother! Rk Veda gives a detailed account of creation in the Mandala X. Almost all the Suktas praise the God Agni. Lord Agni is everything for us. Agni is the Sun in Heavens, Moon in the sky, and Fire on earth. All the living and the non-living, organic and the inorganic, moving and the non-moving are nothing but ‘agnim’ in one form or the other. Vaishvanara Agni Deva is the Fire God in our stomach that digests food with a very extraordinary sense of discretion! He is also the ‘Akshi Purusha’ (the witnessing self) in our eyes! The Sun, the eye, and the fire in the stomach and our Soul (Atman) are one! Thus, everything is ‘solar’ here and the Sun is our visible God. The Rk Veda is full of praise for God of Fire Agni and many Suktas address it as Indra (Indhada). Indra is incidentally the Deity of Luminous Mind and Moon is also associated with Mind as its Deity.
People have been worshiping the Sun God all over the world since very early times. There are also some sections of the people who worship Moon as their God. Moon is a part of the Earth, its Satellite. Both the Sun and the Moon occupy the central place in this study as “Srividya”.

The Origin of Life

The Origin of Life
On the one hand, we have the scriptures that boldly state how the supreme Lord only manifests as the multifarious phenomenal objective world and the Bhagavad-Gita where the Bhagavan speaks has many verses how the elements are created by His 'yogamaya'. The prakruti ashtadha are the earth, water, fire, air, air and space (pancha bhuta) and the ind (manas), Intellect (buddhi) and ego (ahankara). All the living beings also incorporate these! It may be surprising to note the divine aspect of these elements eulogized in the scriptures. We will be surprised if the air is also called vayudeva, pranadeva, or Vayuputra (vatatmaja) Hanuma or Anjani tanaya (Anjaneya)life force and that is nothing but Oxygen; so also, water is nothing but Hydrogen and Oxygen. Mere joining of these gaseous elements will not become the liquid! the Lord enters it! tat srushtva tateva anupravishat! The Lord is catalyst! so also, when we say the prayers to the Sun God as Aditya, Bhaskara, Vibhakara, Surya, etc. little do we think of Hydrogen and Helium, the gaseous elements that compose the Sun! The electromagnetic waves, light, heat, actinic rays, etc. are all considered devata in the scriptures. As regards, life forms, the supreme Lord manifests Himself as the diverse names, forms and functions of all that we see! A little soil, water and heat generates the primordial forms of life! We see how snails and earthworms appear soon after rains! A little carbon added to these make the appearance of vegetation and the primordial forms plant and animals are indistinguishable, indiscernable! Mosses and lichens, algae etc are wonderful! H+C+O rule the roost? Hydrocarbons and carbo hydrates, oxidation and reduction process of Oxygen are simple wonderful! The human cell made of amino acids, ribose, DNA, genes, chromosomes, proteins and harmonies, together with the inherent power of creation, transformation, mutation, knowledge, technology, and such other invisible forces (attributed to Vishnu/chit/ consciousness) make a very interesting study. All the elements like gold, silver, plutonium, are, of course, the products that manifest, appear, come out of emissions, the emanates, from the neutron stars and, the fusion and fission and explosion of the binaries?
Zecharia Sitchin and many other writers have assembled extensive evidence that Earth has been visited in ancient times by life from another planet that still orbits our sun, currently at the edge of our solar system in a long 3600-year elliptical orbit. The recent History Channel Ancient Alien Series shows archaeological evidence for this theory.
The story that emerges from the evidence is that humans descended from these alien beings about 200,000 years ago in Africa. The complexity and similarity of archaeological remains around the world suggests that our alien ancestors assisted directly with the development of civilization worldwide.
Even stranger, the archaeological record includes human skeletons and artifacts in deposits dated during the last 600 million years that multi-cell life existed on Earth. The biodiversity of species shows that large and relatively sudden numbers of species appeared about every 60 million years, always following Earth’s major life extinctions, which occur after our major cataclysms involving earthquakes, volcanoes, ice ages and floods. The ancient human remains suggest that our ancient ancestors first sent, and later accompanied, spacecraft to Earth with samples of life from their planet. Most of the evolution of life may have occurred on our mother planet.
This creation myth, like many others, tries to answer the questions we all ask. Why are we here? Where did we come from? The answer generally given was that humans were of comparatively recent origin, because it must have been obvious, even at early times that the human race was improving in knowledge and technology. So it can't have been around that long, or it would have progressed even more. For example, according to Bishop Usher, the Book of Genesis placed the creation of the world at 9 in the morning on 27 October, 4,004 BC. On the other hand, the physical surroundings, like mountains and rivers, change very little in a human lifetime. They were, therefore thought to be a constant background, and either to have existed forever as an empty landscape, or to have been created at the same time as the humans. Not everyone, however, was happy with the idea that the universe had a beginning.
For example, Aristotle, the most famous of the Greek philosophers, believed the universe had existed forever. Something eternal is more perfect than something created. He suggested the reason we see progress was that floods, or other natural disasters, had repeatedly set civilization back to the beginning. The motivation for believing in an eternal universe was the desire to avoid invoking divine intervention to create the universe and set it going. Conversely, those who believed the universe had a beginning, used it as an argument for the existence of God as the first cause, or prime mover, of the universe.
If one believed that the universe had a beginning, the obvious question was what happened before the beginning? What was God doing before He made the world? Was He preparing Hell for people who asked such questions? The problem of whether or not the universe had a beginning was a great concern to the German philosopher, Immanuel Kant. He felt there were logical contradictions, or antimonies, either way. If the universe had a beginning, why did it wait an infinite time before it began? He called that the thesis. On the other hand, if the universe had existed for ever, why did it take an infinite time to reach the present stage? He called that the antithesis. Both the thesis and the antithesis depended on Kant's assumption, along with almost everyone else, that time was Absolute. That is to say, it went from the infinite past to the infinite future, independently of any universe that might or might not exist in this background. This is still the picture in the mind of many scientists today.

Manifestations

Everything that manifests from Him, the Lord, has the same powers of creation, sustenance, dissolution, however in a kinchit or limited way. What the Lord created, man also creates, but the powers of the latter are limited to his ability, unlike the Lord who is mahat, ‘bruhat’, vast! Man also excels in his intellect in his own limited sphere. This is the reason why man cannot keep quiet even for a second and is always engaged in some work or the other. When the jiva realizes its true nature, it merges in Him, ceasing to remain separate!
O Arjuna, “Verily none can ever remain for even a moment without performing action; for, everyone is compelled to act, helplessly indeed, by the qualities born of Nature.” An ignorant man is driven to action helplessly, by force of nature- the gunas (Rajas, Tamas and Sattva). A person, who is restraining the organs of action, sits thinking of the sense-objects in mind, is of deluded understanding. He is a hypocrite. But, whosoever, controlling the senses by the mind, engages himself in Karma Yoga with the organs of action, without attachment, he excels! Therefore, you perform your ordained duty, ‘for action is superior to inaction’; remember that even the maintenance of the body would not be possible without action. The world is bound by actions other than those performed for the sake of sacrifice. Therefore, O son of Kunti, do your duty for the sake of action, karma as a Yajnya, sacrifice, alone- free from any attachment! [3. 5-9]. Thus, karma will not bind, or afflict you as a blemish, thereby karma phala will not accrue and the cause of rebirth will be eliminated!
अन्नाद्भवंति भूतानि पर्जन्याद् अन्न संभवः। यज्ञाद् भवति पर्जन्यो यज्नः कर्म समुद्भवः॥ (३ १४)
All the jivarashi depend on food and the food depends on rain; rain comes at the appropriate time to support the crops due to the yajnya, sacrifice, performed. This entire universe is a sacrifice. The sun burns and gives life to jivarashi through this rain and food. Everything is yajnya here!
The Shvetashvatara Upanishad clearly explains this concept of Sacrifice, yajnya. Lord Agni, the Fire-God, the ‘havis’ (the offering), and the process of yajnya (the very function of sacrificial ‘offering’) are ‘yajnya’. The Lord is the ‘yajnya hotr’; He is the yajnya ahuti; He is the ‘bhokta’ and the ‘bhoktru’. Here, each object of creation is an offering to the other. Each action is a sacred action, a sacrificial ritual. Out of this sacrificial function evolves the new and the rewarding ‘karma phala’. ‘Desire’ and ‘Resolve’ (sankalpa) are at the root of this entire Yajnya. Thus, the universe moves on together with sacrifice, and an endless creation and dissolution, said the Lord.

Are the material and the Spiritual entities Different?

There is a belief the the spiritual aspects are different from the material or physical entities. But, very little is known about how matter and spirit are interchangeable! The Energy aspect in all that exist is the same. Whether the oxygen or Hydrogen, the inherent Energy is the same but their quality differs according to the wavelengths, intensity and frequency of vibration of the Energy as quantum waves. In this regard, the core of all that exist as living or the non-living is the same.
The Self is ‘aware of itself’ and ‘the other’ (the world); it is also aware that the ‘other’ is its own creation, and there is ‘no other’. However, this ‘Truth’ is shrouded by nescience, ignorance due to desire and attachment causing illusion and disillusionment. This is what Sri Shree Krishna exemplifies in the Gita when He says, “I only exist, and no other.” Science too has come close to this. The scientific experiments conducted in France (CERN) recently have come out with the following findings: “The molecule known as H3+ is believed to have had a vital role in cooling down the first stars of the universe, and may still play an important part in the formation of current stars. Now, H O H aspect of Hydrogen has been discovered and this may change our entire perspective of creation! Above, new stars burst into being in the star-forming nebula Messier 78, imaged by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.”
“New stars burst into being in the star-forming nebula Messier 78, imaged by NASA's Spitzer Space Telescope.”
The collision of neutron stars has spilled  many heavy metallic elements like gold, silver, platinum. In fact, the neutron vibrates and radiates energy in electrons. Unless there is some extraordinary catalyst behind these there can be no creation of any sorts. In fact, there would be nothing like the planets, their satellites (Moons) if the Sun were to be a little larger or smaller in dimension and magnitude. Thus, may be, it is all a chance factor or the divine will that we all exist as we are on this Earth, the only living planet!
A new study of one of the most fundamental molecules in the universe has given scientists clues into how the very first stars were formed.
For the first time, researchers have calculated the vibration patterns of a compound called H3+ (also known as a tri-atomic hydrogen ion), which consists of three hydrogen atoms sharing two electrons. Knowing how the molecule can vibrate allows scientists to predict which wavelengths of light it will emit, giving them a way to identify its signature in astronomical observations.
H3+ is important because it is thought to have been prevalent in the universe just after the Big Bang that started things off around 13.7 billion years ago.
"Most of the universe consists of hydrogen* in various forms," University of Arizona chemist Ludwik Adamowicz said in a statement, "but the H3+ ion is the most prevalent molecular ion in interstellar space. It's also one of the most important molecules in existence."[Wacky Physics: The Coolest Little Particles in Nature].
Now, all living creatures are made up of Hydrogen, Carbon, and Oxygen- the hydrocarbons. It is the energy, the vibration of the particles, that create the semblance of forms! Agni has rupa as its tanmatra. Everything is this ‘citi’ (Energy), chaitya, chetasa, chetana and chaitanya- the products of ‘cit’- the vibrating Mind thought force. Brahmasutras clarify this point better. The Sun, the eye and the Fire in jiva are one. So also, the Sun in Heavens (Svar), the Electricity in clouds in the Mid-region (Akasha), and the Fire (in different forms on earth are one. Everything is thus manifestation of the one Unmanifest brahmn.
Thus, all attributes, the qualities, creation of forms are credited to this ‘One’- the Supreme with out attributes of qualities (guna ateeta), ‘tat’, i.e., the ‘sat’. ‘sat’ is the ‘seed’, the germ-cell, potency. It is Spirit as well as Matter. Here Spirit only becomes Matter and vice versa according to the quality of vibration of energy. Hydrogen (H) is the principal component of the Sun and its fission and fusion into Helium (He4) and the consequent electromagnetic radiation is the cause of the multifarious objective world.

The Creator and His attributes

 विश्वकर्मा विमना आद्विहाय धाता विधाता परमोत संद्रुक्।
 तेषामिष्ठानि समिषा मदंति यत्र सप्तरुषीन् पर एकमहुः॥ (१०.  ८२.  २)
vishvakarmA vimanaa aadvihaaya dhaataa vidhaataa paramota saMdruk |teSAmiSThAni samiSA madaMti yatra saptaruSIn para ekamahuH || [10. 82. 2]
This verse explains the Creator and His attributes according to Rk veda. The probable mode of creation is also presented here as available from the yajurveda, Shvetashvatara upanishat as well as the latest scientific researches and results of experiments (CERN). According to veda, “Exceedingly wise, exceedingly strong is the Designer. He is Creator, Disposer, Epiphany supreme. Mortal Men rejoice that their votive offerings are heeded there where they say “the One is, beyond the Seven Seers. He is our Father” who begat us, he the Disposer who knows all situations, every creature. It was He alone who gave to the Gods their names; to Him come questioning all the other creatures. To Him the seers of old offered their substance in sacrifice, as did also the multitude of singers who fashioned this whole universe when first the spheres, both the shadowy realm and the bright, were set in their places. That which the Waters first received, beyond the heavens, beyond the earth, beyond both Gods and demons-- say, what was that, the first primeval germ, when all the assembled Gods, and they alone, were watching?  He was the primal germ borne by the Waters, wherein all the Gods were coalesced together; at the navel of the Non-born the One and only is set, he upon whom depend all created beings.” [Rk veda X, 82, 2 – 6].
“Know, then, that prakriti is maya, that which comes within the ambit of time, space, and causality, and that the supreme Lord is the Creator of maya. The whole universe is filled with transient phenomenal objects that are an iota, fraction,  amsha, parts of His being. By truly realizing Him who, though non-dual, dwells in prakriti, both in its primary and in its secondary aspect, and in Whom, this whole world comes together and dissolves- by truly realizing Him, Who is the Lord, the bestower of blessings, the Adorable God, one attains the supreme peace. He, the creator of the gods and the bestower of their powers, the Support of the universe, Rudra, the omniscient, who at the beginning gave birth to Hiranyagarbha- may He endow us with clear intellect! He who is the sovereign of the gods, in whom the worlds find their support, who rules over all two-footed and four-footed beings-let us serve that God, radiant and blissful, with an oblation. By realizing Him who is subtler than the subtlest Who dwells in the midst of the chaos, who is the Creator of all things and is endowed with many forms, who is the non-dual Pervader of the universe and all good-by realizing Him one attains the supreme peace.” [YajurVeda, Svet. upa., Part I, Chapter IV, 10 – 14].     The above mantra, along with the preceding one, eulogizes the powers and glory of the Lord and explains the secret of creation (as revealed by the Lord in the Bhagavad-Gita here).
The verse: ahamAtmA guDAkesha. . . | (along with the verses in vibhutiyoga Ch X) is enough to know Him. He is the Self of all. He, the omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and the antaryamin sit in the heart and works through the Mind. He is the One, above all the seven seers- the five senses and the manas and buddhi (that He commands). It is His ‘Will’ that He creates rather, ‘the One becomes many’ according to the Lord’s will, desire and resolve- “ekohaM bahusyam. It is the creative power of the Mind, His ‘citta’ that creates the primal germ, the ‘thought-particle’ (mind-worm)- the desire. Thus, the phenomenal, objective, transient, perceivable, sensuous world is created of the powerful vibration of Mind, cittavrutti. The Mind creates the world and the Mind is the world. And, man is Mind, its moods and attitudes! It is Sri Hari chitta!

Ancient Hindu Scriptures

Ancient Hindu Scriptures are purely of spiritual nature and considered to be 'divine' to the extent of being the 'Spoken Words of the Lord', 'Bhagavan uvacha' as stated in the Gita. These are the 'shruti vakyas', the voice heard by the ancient sages in their meditative trance. These scriptures are the Veda, Upanishads, Brahmasutras, and the Bhagavad-Gita. Hence, there is no question of writing down these scriptures albeit, often stated as dictated by Veda Vyasa and written down by Lord Ganapati (Deity of muladhara prajnya). The Brahmasutras consisting of almost 555 or 565 formulae) are attributed to Badarayana and nobody knows who this author is! He is stated to be Lord Narayana, Pure Consciousness. Here, the term 'Narayana' means, The path (yana) of flow ('nara') of Consciousness and, this all-pervasive 'Consciousness' is indeed, 'Vishnu' ('vish' meaning pervade).
Now the question is who is the author of the Bhagavad-Gita, the ‘Divine Song’? Bhagavan Sri Krishna says, “I am Vedavyasa.” Hence, the author of all that we have as Shruti vakyas, apourusheya scriptures such as the Veda, epics and the Gita (attributed to Vedavyasa) are the spoken words of the Lord only, and they are the ‘heard voice’, ‘anahata dhvani’! May be, the learned sages heard these in the course of their transcendental meditation (atindriya dhayana). In fact, these are the thoughts or the will of the Lord ‘parabrahman’, Shree Krishna Dvaipayana as to the ways and means of creation, sustenance and dissolution? Veda vyasa means, ‘one who classified the voluminous ‘Ekayana Veda’, the knowledge imparted by Brahma to his manasa putrah Atharvana (Mundakopanishad Verse 1) In fact, this Atharvan is none other than the Brahmanaspati, Ganapati. (Rk Veda). Earlier, the Veda consisting of over a lakh verses were too much for chants and sacrificial rituals and the sages requested for abridgement or division. Accordingly, the Lord only did this! These are His own pronouncements regarding this. (See Gita Ch. X).
