The Power and Glory of the 'Soul'

There is the Vedic statement that explains the power and glory of the soul, the Atman. tat srushtva tat evanupravishat | meaning, "having created creation it entered into it". The supreme Lord (tat), having created creation like the living beings He found that it was not functioning! Hence, He only entered into it! There is a small hole on the head called the brahma randhra through which the Life-force (prana shakti) enters! Gradually this hole is closed by the skull. This is evident in the case of the birth of a child. The doctor and nurse will be anxiously waiting for the child to cry and even splash cold water and tap it immediately after the delivery! There are instances where the child is dead after delivery even though certified everything fine with it a day before! Nothing can be said about these things! It is still a mystery how a child that is certified by the doctor as well developed and in good health suddenly finds it is not breathing when it comes out of the womb! It is also not well understood when exactly this mind (manas), Intellect (buddhi), and Intelligence (buddhivantike), and ego (ahankar) etc enter the jiva? \
Also, if the supreme Lord only enters it (the jiva) why it becomes so weak and helpless! However, all these problems have been addressed and the answers are given by the great sages. These are enshrined in the Upanishads and the Veda. We have to carefully study and understand all these. But, how many are really interested is the question. We will address these problems one by one later.
