On this auspicious occasion, it is our fervent hope that the blogs posted here are of some help in mitigating the hardships of the challenging world outside and small pinpricks within. Knowledge is a tool that can cut the tree ashvatha of ajnyan, avidya. Bhagavan Sri Krishna says, that all the jivarashi make their home in this Sanatana Ashvatha tree, that has its roots above and branches with fruits below. Even hari, hara, brahma and rudra sakala devata, vishve deva, reside here. The jivarashi enjoy the fruits of their action, karma phala, and continue their cycle of births and deaths unless this jnyan is used as a sharp axe to cut this tree! Even the Veda deals with worldly knowledge and is of no use for atmajnyan, realization of the Self without which there is no salvation for jiva. vishaya Veda tasmat nistraigunyo bhavaarjuna |
Bhagavan has advocated karma yoga where he says, "One should work selfless, nishkama karma and leave the result to Him! He assures that He will take care. yogaksemam vahamaham | He says, anything that one thinks, resolves and acts brings karma phala and there is no salvation from rebirths. So one should gradually attain knowledge, wisdom, renunciation and finally give up everything in daan, yajnya, and tapas so that he/ she will be relieved once and for all (mukti).
Sadhana chatushtaya are: svadhyaya, dhyana, dharana and samadhi. There is need for contemplation in a secluded place. The supreme Lord Almighty is so kind that He will redeem one and all. Let there be peace everywhere.

* According to Hindu Calendar, we are runningchaitra masa, shukla paksha, Ugadi pratipada, a New Year- April 8, 2016 to next April, 2017 according to Christian Calendar as a result of 350 years of British rule in India till August 15, 1947.
So far, we have completed according to our sanatana time scale 1000000 million years. Kali yuga still has 420000 years to go. Kaliyuga started after the Mahabharata war when all the kurus died in the battle and Bhagavan Sri Krishna left with the Pandavas, meaning all the bad qualities ended with the clarity of mind and the five divine qualities remained during the Yuga antara (interim period). However, the New era of Kali started with all the bad qualities being prominent making man an ambitious reckless animal living without any respect for the fellow creatures. This yuga also will end disastrously. The Kalachakra (Sudarshana Chakra) is running revealing what all is hidden like a small plant grows and bears and fruits according to seasons. Only the sattvic people live peacefully and they also die at the end! This Yuga will pave way fro the new Manvantara of another four yugas (chaturyuga) with the present sattvic souls as the seed! Others will perish.Kala dharma cannot be changed by human efforts. Hence people are advised to live a selfless life (doing nishkama karma) as advocated in the Bhagavad-Gita.
