Prajnyam prajnyam eva ca |

    It is said that, prajnyam prajnyam eva ca | meaning, 'Consciousness is consciousness itself'! The entire universe is a matter of 'Consciousness'; there is nothing without consciousness. If a person is unconscious neither does he/she know who he/she is nor where one is. The world appears and disappears with this consciousness, chit shakti. The power of cognition is the direct manifest power of brahmn. However, none knows who is brahmn or what consciousness is. It is the power of cognition of the self as well as an other. 

   The first to manifest  from the depth of Ocean of Consciousness is the 'sat'.  This 'sat' only becomes the 'chit', the Consciousness.Gradually, the chit transforms into 'chiti' (fire /agni), chetana, chetasa, chaitanya and many other different forms in shuddha tattva.In fact, everything is chiti, Fire/ agni. The Sun in the heavens (svar), the lightning, thunder, clouds, etc in the sky (akasha) and oil and natural gas, wood, stone and all vegetation and animals are indeed fire only; every part of human body is fire- fire in the eye (akshi), Intelligence (medha), skin (tvac), tongue and stomach (vaishvanara) are fire only. the person is dead if the body becomes cold. The three states of Fire- the Sun, the electric charges, and the  intrinsic heat and energy in inflammable substances on and inside the earth, are called 'tribandhu' in asya vamiya sukta of Rk Veda. Thus, fire rules the universe as galaxies, stars, and all other manifest forms of brahmn, called Gods, in scriptures.

   The power of cognition comes gradually after a few months after birth and it gets strengthened over time. However, not all will have the same power and , many jivas may attain very powerful states and become jnyanis. Normally, there are seven to nine states of consciousness as already stated in the previous blogs. Only the lower three levels are important to us in our day to day life. We may reach higher levels with the help of a good yoga teacher in Yoga. However, not all will reach the highest level called the sahasrar prajnya, the supreme conscious state.But, there is nothing wrong in trying to reach this state.
