     About the Author

 Dr. TIPPUR N. ACHUTA RAO (b. Feb. 12, 1939) born in Mandya District studied at Maharaja's College, Mysore and got his Master's degree (1962) and later on got his Ph.D. from Utkal University, Bhubaneshwar (Odisha). He has to his credit about forty research papers covering a wide ranging field of environment, ecology, population, rural and urban settlements, natural resources, infrastructure development, agriculture  and  industrial development and planning strategies for regional development of Karnataka, general economy, etc. Some of these Papers presented at various national and International Conferences have been published in India and abroad. The Paper: “ENVIRONMENTAL COMPATIBILITY AND HABITAT DEVELOPMENT” presented to International Congress of the Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (ICUAES), at Zagreb (in erstwhile Yugoslavia in July 1988) is adjudged- ‘a significant contribution to human development thought’ by the European Scientific Committee, and is published in “Habitation and Environment”, (Ed Chandhoke) Delhi. “THE FUTURE OF MANKIND”- the Bhagavad-Gita Doctrine presented to the World Congress of Religions after 9/11, Gill University, Montreal, Canada- on September 15. 2006 is also published In “WORLD RELIGIONS AFTER 9/11” (Ed. Arvind Sharma), Praeger, Westport, Connecticut, London, 2009.  Other important contributions are: RELIGION OR SPIRITUALITY- A Matter of Consciousness (Paper presented to International Conference at Jamia Milia Islamia, New Delhi 2008); QUANTA AND QUALI- Reality of Existence and SAPTA SINDHAVAH– Streams of Consciousness (Presented to International Conference on Rivers and Culture, Hindu University, Bali, Is. Indonesia 2009).
