The primordial state of the world of objects begins with the vibration of sub-atomic particles such as majorana fermions (the earliest state where matter and anti-matter coexisted) giving rise to matter such as ionic fermions, bosons, etc. Bur, there is the preexistent state of 'Energy' that started with traces of radio-active minerals and the radium, uranium, vanadium, zircon, etc. we find today. There might have been many a radiant matter in existence during the early stages of formation of the earth. These radiant materials might have produced rare earths and their traces are found in many parts of Karnataka. Thus, traces of matter producing radiation (waves) may be our starting point and later on we find the condensed forms in gaseous, liquid, and solid matter (as in uranium becoming lead).
However, we have a more interesting history of creation as can be deduced from the scriptures like the Veda, the Upanishads, the Bhagavad-Gita, etc. The Gita is the only scripture in the world where the supreme Lord speaks! Accordingly, this universe is the manifest aspect of the supreme Lord. "He willed". He said, "Eko'ham, bahusyam"! "He created and entered inti His creation. "tad srushtvaa tadevaanu pravishat"! Hence, there should be no doubt, what so ever, as regards the nature of creation. Who are we, the living creatures, then? We are also jivas, the manifest aspects of Him. The Lord says in unmistakable terms that "I am the Self of all". Hence, it is clear that the Atman is the manifest aspect of 'paramatman'.
The most important thing about the ignorance of man is also discussed in the Upanishads. The substratum of all human understandings is said to be 'ignorance'. This aspect of knowledge, ignorance and intelligence are also discussed, at length, later. However, it is essential to develop a, interest in these studies amidst our busy mundane schedules.
