'Reality of Existence'

There are two interesting talks about 'Time' and "Our perceptions" in recent days. It is somewhat strange that the scientists are trying to find out what the ancient scriptures clearly explained that the universe is not real and the world we live in is a 'make-believe one' and fleeting. This is called 'illusory' magical or 'maya'. The  Bhagavad-Gita makes this point amply clear. However, the scientists want proof. So a number of experiments are conducted and now some results have come out. But, who wants it? People who have already realized this 'maya' or 'illusory aspects of the universe' by taking recourse to rigorous spiritual practices like yoga, dhyana, dharana, transcendental meditation and samadhi do not need any proof. They have visualized the truth. Taittiriaya Upanishad, yajurveda, makes these points very clear. It is those who do not believe in all these scriptures that need these scientific researches; but, here again, it is too difficult to believe even if scientific discoveries say, "A solid is not a solid, a red tomato is not a red tomato, a cubical diagram is a construct of our own brain, or for that matter, Time is illusory." This is the subject matter of discussion in the news today.
What is very important to note here is that the scientific investigations have proved the fact that the age-old scriptural statements are true.  There are some specific statements made in these researches. One such statement is: 'the human beings are conditioned not to accept the illusory nature of the objective phenomenal world. Hence nobody accepts these harsh realities lik the illusory nature of our existence because it hampers further evolution. People think 'time' is as real as the food they eat. But. they never realize that neither this 'Time', nor the food they eat, are real. Now, here is an example.
There is need for food only when a person is hungry. If one is not hungry at all, where is the need for food? Food and hunger go together; no hunger, no need for food. A person will not even look at it when he does not need it. The scriptures say, "food is created just because there is hunger in jiva rashi'. The magical aspect of this hunger and food is: "Hunger creates food and when hunger is quenched the food disappears!" Where does the food go? Is it in the mouth, or stomach of the person who ate it? Bhagavan Shree Krishna says that, "He, as vaishvanara agni deva digests food."
Now, considering all these, may we add one more interesting 'Truth'?
The 'Truth' is "None exists here!" In other words, may I say, "I do not exist"? People may call me mad if i say so. But actually 'I' do not exist. Where is this 'I' that every body speaks of when one is in deep sleep? Everything, all objective phenomenal world like house, wife and children, car, money, friends and relatives disappear in our deep sleep. Where do all these go? Where is this 'i' everybody boasts of as I did this I did that, etc.? What all we see in dreams is simply discarded as nonsensical. But, what is transacted in daily routine is real and very dear to life. What is this? If I was not a doctor, an engineer, or a professor by birth, and not that, after I become old and retire or lie in coma, what is the reality of what all i pose as 'so and so'? Hence, i will not see the truth unreal unless i discard what all i acquired from my childhood such as prefixes, affixes, including my name, qualification, professional accreditation, and accolades. A person attains the 'Buddha' state, 'nirvana', or 'brahmn' the moment one discards everything and becomes 'nothing'.
Thus, this fleeting world of people and objects appear like a movie on the screen and no meaning need be attached to it. Nothing is real. Everything is transient, passing, and changing in this world including time, space, and causality that govern it.
Ultimately, what remains is 'jnyan' (knowledge) only. The name of the person like Einstein, Galileo, Bhrugu muni, Vashishtha, Vishvamitra or Stephen Hawking or their attainments are of no consequences since everything already exists and these persons may have discovered something like that! Delhi or London is already there and people only travel and reach there!  Even these names like Delhi or London are what people decided and may change any time like Bombay called as Mumbai? Maps create wars and wars create new maps. When such is the case in history of the world, where is the 'truth'? Don't we know that 'all live in an illusory world; and, that too, arrived here a few decades back and may depart from here any time? What do we understand about he reality of our existence? Here, solid is not solid and a red tomato is not a red tomato. It's all a gimmick of our mind!
